Being a new or emerging leader can be both exciting and disconcerting....

You already have some knowledge and skills which enabled you to get the role. Congratulations!

You might also be feeling a little apprehension or anxiety about what you don’t know.

While we don’t know for sure what you’re going to be faced with, you can develop foundational skills in how you approach the different things that will arise.

This will give you confidence to step fully into the role, which you can build upon with each subsequent success.

This is the best time to get the foundations right so that you can continue to develop and grow in the right direction for you, before any bad habits become embedded.
